24-7 Group targets Net Zero by 2050 if not before.
As a leading multi-disciplinary engineering group throughout the UK, we are committed to integrating ESG principles into every aspect of the services we offer, guiding many of our clients towards mutually shared goals – net zero decarbonisation, increased use of renewables, reduced energy consumption etc.
Our vision is to help create built environments that rise to the challenges of the issues of today and that support current and future generations in creating resilient places that meet sustainability and commercial goals of our clients. We help them develop and operate efficient, and affordable assets to improve comfort, health and wellbeing of occupants.
Operating in the spaces we serve, makes for easy collateral with regards to Environmental aspects of an ESG agenda. Outside of our day to day operations, we undertake focused efforts that help promote this cause. Some Example’s of this are:
- Measuring and reporting our Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions annually, using the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard1 as a framework.
- Reducing our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 50% by 2030 and by 100% by 2050, compared to our 2020 baseline.
- Reducing our Scope 3 emissions by 30% by 2030 and by 80% by 2050, compared to our 2020 baseline.
- Offsetting any remaining emissions through verified carbon credits from projects that support the UN Sustainable Development Goals2.
- All our office space is now as energy efficient as we can make them, with our teams following procedures everyday to make sure there is no excessive use of energy.
- For every new member of staff we take on, we undertake to plant 10 trees to help climate change
- We commit charitable donations every quarter to re-wilding projects to further help “natures fightback”
- We have switched to renewable energy sources for all our offices and vehicles, where possible.
- We have invested in energy efficiency measures and low-carbon technologies for our buildings and equipment.
- We encourage our employees to adopt sustainable travel modes and practices, such as cycling, car-sharing, public transport and video conferencing.
- We engage with our suppliers, contractors and customers to promote low-carbon solutions and best practices across our value chain.
- We support innovation and research in green technologies and services that can benefit our industry and society.
SOCIAL
Our responsibility goes beyond delivering technical excellence — we aim to create lasting positive impact for people, communities, and the planet.
- We’re committed to taking on apprentices – not because they’re cheap labour as so often gets flaunted about, but because we believe in reinvesting from where we came from
- Our senior team have each committed to 2 days to charities of their choosing to give something back to things that they’re passionate about.
- We have built and continue to build a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workforce at all levels
- We partner with schools, colleges, and universities to promote STEM careers.
- Proud to be supporting under-represented groups into engineering through mentoring and outreach.
- Prioritisation of local employment and supply chains wherever possible.
- Apply engineering innovation to solve real societal challenges such as climate resilience, accessibility, clean energy, and safe infrastructure
GOVERNANCE AND ETHICS
